Missy from Dover Studio was kind enough to send me photos of their latest venture. In conjunction with Sherwin Williams Paint Company, Dover Studios is producing a new line of furniture called Dover Studio At Home “The New Classic”. Says Dover Studios "The concept for Dover Studio At Home is to create pieces that are a contemporary transformation of design and color while respecting the quiet power of tradition. We achieve this with hand applied, large format patterns and elements that are layered with sophisticated combinations of colors. These select pieces of furniture can stand alone or can be made into a set and come in a variety of colors and patterns."
I just love when a single idea or theme is exploded beyond its normal self. While these subjects - a peacock feather, pineapple, beta fish, tropical plant and wood grain are seen all the time - they take on new life and meaning in these applications. Justaposed with traditional furniture forms - it's new, fresh and fabulous!
Dover Studio at Home will be showing at the Architectural Digest Home Show March 8-11.
